Interview on Recovering Catholic
On the Theologian's Vocation, Catholics and Voting, and Fiducia Supplicans
Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down for an interview with
, the author of the Recovering Catholic Substack newsletter and the host of the eponymous podcast. We had a wide-ranging conversation about some of the themes I’ve written about at Window Light. We spent the first half of the interview talking about the theologian’s vocation, and particularly what it might look like outside of academia—what Sarah has called “being a theologian in the wild” (Does that make me a “wild theologian”?). But we also talked about Catholics, voting, and democratic participation, and the recent Vatican documents Fiducia Supplicans and Dignitas Infinita. A link to the interview, which was published this past Monday, is below, but check out and subscribe to the Recovering Catholic newsletter while you’re at it! And if you’ve come here via Sarah’s newsletter, you can subscribe to Window Light with the button below the link.
